Partridge Creek Community Education & Programming

Education Mission

Partridge Creek Farm’s Educational Mission is to provide high-quality programs for our community, to members of all ages and abilities.

We aim to inspire individuals of all ages to connect with their food, develop sustainable growing practices, and cultivate a sense of community.

We strive to create a welcoming environment that promotes hands-on learning, fosters environmental stewardship, and encourages personal growth through agricultural education. By creating replicable, physically and fiscally accessible programs, we are able to share with other organizations in our region.

Our Programs

  • Youth

Partridge Creek Farm aims to expand youth opportunities into Marquette County to offer more educational and healthy cooking opportunities for youth.

  • School

Partridge Creek Farm partners with the Ishpeming School District to offer High School and Middle School students hands-on learning in farm and garden topics and healthy meal preparation.

  • Community

Our community programs emphasize health and well-being, aiming to foster connections among residents while deepening their understanding of these important topics.

  • Professional

Our Professional Development opportunities not only foster professional growth but also contribute to building a resilient, interconnected local food network.

Programming Goals

  1. Enhance Food Literacy
Educate participants about where their food comes from, how it grows,  and the impact of food choices on health and the environment.

  2. Promote Sustainable Practices
Equip community members with the skills and knowledge to grow food sustainably and engage in responsible stewardship of resources.

  3. Foster Intergenerational Learning
Create opportunities for individuals of all ages to learn from one another, sharing knowledge and experiences related to agriculture and sustainability.

  4. Build Community Connections
Strengthen the bonds within our community by encouraging collaboration and dialogue among participants, families, and local organizations.
