Why Community Gardening?
Gardening is a great opportunity to grow high-quality fruits and vegetables for yourself and your family while improving physical health, reducing stress, fostering a sense of wellness and belonging, and providing a sustainable source of fresh produce that can help offset grocery costs.

Community Garden Details
Requirements for the community garden are; attend community garden work days, maintain bed for entire growing season, attend orientation in early spring.
*Preference will be given to those in/near Ishpeming as beds will require watering and care.

Bed Size: (W)5' X (L)12' X (D)18"
Cost: $40 per bed per season
Season: June-October
The following provisions will be provided by Partridge Creek to help in your gardening journey.
Provide water access to members during the growing season.
All funds from bed rentals will go toward covering water costs and improving the community garden.
An orientation will be held on May 29th from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Ishpeming Public Library (317 N. Main St Ishpeming, MI) to share important information and answer questions. Orientation is mandatory.
We will Offer ongoing support when possible during Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–4:00 pm.

How To Sign-Up
The cost per season is a $40 rental fee which will be paid below to become a member. Preference will be given to Ishpeming Community Members as members will need to water their beds daily.
Please sign-up through our website to rent a bed in our Community Garden.
Members will receive an email from Partridge Creek Farm in May to remind them of the May 29th date for orientation.

Registration to rent a bed is done through our website. All sign-ups must be recorded through this process. If you need assistance or do not have access to a computer please see the following options:

Payment options:
Pay with card: If you select this payment type your card will be charged at check out.
Pay with cash/check: You may select the option at check out to pay with cash or check. This payment will need to be received within 7 days of registering or your spot will be void.

Community garden bed rentals are prioritized for Ishpeming residents to ensure consistent care and attention, including regular watering. This helps strengthen connections within the local community and encourages a sense of responsibility toward maintaining the space.

While we do require you to upkeep your garden bed during the season we understand there may be a week where you’re unable to water.
We’ve provided you with a contact list for the garden members. Please first contact another member to see if they’d be willing to help you out!
If not, consider asking a friend or family member to assist.

Please allow 1-3 days for response time as summer is our peak season and we are often outside in the farm or gardens. We will do our best to get back to you promptly.

Water is provided by Partridge Creek Farm. Excessive water use for purposes other than irrigating garden beds may result in cancellation of garden access without a refund.
The main irrigation spigot is located at the SW corner of the garden.
