Community Programming

Partridge Creek Farm is dedicated to enhancing its educational programs and expanding learning opportunities for the greater Ishpeming community.

Our mission is to foster intergenerational learning about sustainable food systems through engaging, hands-on experiences. By exploring topics such as gardening, nutrition, and environmental stewardship, we aim to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills to build a healthier, more resilient community. Through collaborative efforts, we strive to create a space where people of all ages can connect, share ideas, and contribute to a sustainable future. We warmly welcome all community members to join us in cultivating knowledge, connection, and growth.

Workshop Series

Partridge Creek Farm hosts free community workshops each spring—when it’s still too cold to grow food, but we're already dreaming of the season ahead. These workshops are open to community members of all ages, providing valuable skills for growing your own food.

To make these learning opportunities accessible to everyone, Partridge Creek Farm partners with the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library to offer workshops at no cost. Each session focuses on topics related to health, well-being, or sustainable growing practices, fostering a stronger, more knowledgeable community.

Summer Skill Shares

Partridge Creek Farm offers summer Skill Shares during Farm Stand hours, making it easy and convenient for community members to attend. By aligning these learning opportunities with the times people are already visiting the farm stand, we ensure accessibility for those looking to expand their knowledge while picking up fresh, local produce. These interactive sessions provide a welcoming space for individuals of all ages to connect, learn, and grow together.

Our Skill Shares focus on a variety of topics, including cooking and eating healthy foods, developing new gardening techniques, and exploring other essential skills for sustainable living.

“The Farm to School program has allowed my students to be curious, ask questions, and explore.”
