2025 5th Grade Student Farm Stand was a Success!

For the past five years, Ishpeming Middle School 5th graders in the Farm-to-School Program have had the unique opportunity to host a student Farm Stand in the Ishpeming Middle School Garden. Students select which produce they’d like to sell, set prices, create posters, and invite their families to shop their stand.

In 2025, the student Farm Stand was held in the new greenhouse structure on the site. Parents and members of the community were invited to shop the stands and support our students! Students sold fresh PCF grown produce such as kale, dried herbs, and compost extract for your garden beds.

The 2025 Farm Stand

With the support of families and our community the 5th graders were able to raise over $530 to support a garden project of their choosing!

This year students agreed upon purchasing a butterfly habitat for the school garden. They are interested in learning more about caterpillars lifecycle and pollinators in the garden.

This program is in partnership with the Ishpeming School District.
