Ishpeming Lions Club Invites Community to Take Home Fruit & Nut Trees
Fruit & Nut Tree Planting Demonstration and Giveaway
The Ishpeming Lions Club will host its second annual fruit/nut tree giveaway event where Ishpeming residents will be invited to take home and plant 1-3 trees after attending a demonstration and lesson. Attendees will also take home materials to protect and feed their sapling trees. This is a FREE event. Any donations made during the demonstrations will help fund the future of this event for years to come. This event is supported by Partridge Creek Farm, Partridge Creek Compost, and the Ishpeming High School Horticulture Class.

When: Saturday, May 16, 2026 1 – 3 PM
Attendees are not required to stay for the entirety of a session.
Where: Partridge Creek Community Farm Site
550 Cleveland Ave, Ishpeming, MI
(Parking: Please ONLY park in Partridge Creek Farm’s designated gravel parking area directly off of Cleveland Ave to the left. If you are unsure of where to park please ask an event leader.)
Who: All are welcome to join
No experience necessary.
Why: This event is part of an effort to provide Ishpeming residents the opportunity to cultivate free local healthy food for their families and communities. The Ishpeming Lions and local partners run this annual event as a community movement in service of addressing long term food insecurity in our region.
