This Giving Tuesday our community showed up in support of food access in Ishpeming to help raise a total of $8645.25! We called on our neighbors to help replace 6–8 of the FREE Community Grazing Beds in the centrally located Ishpeming Middle School Garden and you answered the call.

Thanks to your generosity, we are now able to replace 8 of these FREE Community Grazing Beds so that free produce stays available to everyone who needs it. In addition to replacing these beds we are now able to fill them with compost and topsoil, relocate them for accessibility, and increase signage and awareness! These grazing beds allow community members and families pick vegetables without worry.

What’s Next

Your support will help us prepare for the following activities during the 2026 growing season:

  • Replacing 8 FREE garden beds with USDA approved Vego brand garden beds.

  • Relocate beds to the outer edge of the site to increase awareness.

  • Education opportunities for Garden Club students to learn how to grow food for their community while building lifelong skills in teamwork, responsibility, and care for others.

  • Increase grazing bed signage to expand our reach and help more community members.

We Will Continue Supporting Food Access
