June of 2025 marked the return of the Partridge Creek Farm-to-School Summer Camp! Marquette County youth were invited to join 1-3 of the summer sessions to learn more about growing food, explore the gardens, and join in on fun outdoor art projects.

In total, 16 youth from Marquette County joined the PCF Education team in the garden this summer. About half of the summer camp attendees attended all 3 engaging summer camp sessions!

More About PCF’s Summer Camp Program

Farm-to-School Summer Camp

In 2023, PCF rocked Farm-to-School Summer Camp in collaboration with Marquette Alger-RESA. Then, in 2024, our team got our hands dirty growing the brand-new Community Farm! Our staff was all hands on deck which didn’t allow for summer camp programming.

The break in summer of 2024 allowed us time to apply for and secure a Superior Health Foundation grant, ensuring the return of summer camp in 2025—get ready for more farm fun!

2025 Farm-to-School Summer Camp

In 2025 PCF’s Education team’s Farm-to-School Summer Camp focus was to find fun and engaging ways to connect Marquette County youth to their food and one another!

This summer 16 youth joined us in the Middle School Garden for a variety of fun, engaging, and educational activities all centered around growing and eating food.

Below are a few examples of fun 2025 Summer Camp Activities:

  • Foraging 101

  • Plant identification 101

  • Healthy Cooking + Using fat, acid, and heat!

  • Plant lifecycles

  • Making smoothies using a smoothie bike!

  • Garden Art

  • Natural dye scarves and flags using PLANTS!
