Partridge Creek Farm and the Marquette County Salvation Army collaborated on October 21st to celebrate the final Farm Stand of 2026. This harvest party invited community members to the Community Farm to shop fresh produce at the Farm Stand and enjoy a free hot meal from the Salvation Army’s mobile food pantry.
The Salvation Army served nearly 100 community members during this event a meal of pulled pork, green, beans, and mac and cheese. Community members were also invited to take home some free shelf stable items, such as loaves of bread donated by Huron Mountain Bakery.

The Farm Stand
PCF’s West End Farm Stand was open for 18 weeks from June 24 -October 21st. This Wednesday market saw over ___ shoppers. The Farm Stand accepts a variety of payment types to ensure all members of our community are able to shop for fresh produce at this accessible location.
In 2026, PCF began accepting WIC (women, infants, and children) benefits at the Farm Stand. By increasing accepted payment types, we hope to reach more members of our community.
Community Farm Tours
During the 2026 season, PCF offered 2 free farm tour dates to the community. 8 people joined these free tours where they viewed the site, asked questions, and ultimately learned more about what our team is doing at the site and within the organization.
Skillshares
There were 9 Skillshares offered for free during the Farm Stand. These skillshares offered our community easy recipes using farm stand and CSA produce and offered opportunities to learn fun new skills!

Salvation Army Collaboration
In 2026, PCF expanded on their previous partnership with the Marquette County Salvation Army by welcoming their mobile food pantry to the site a total of 4 times to the site during the Farm Stand. The Salvation Army distributed free shelf stable food boxes to over 100 families in Ishpeming. Families then had the opportunity to shop for fresh, accessibly priced produce to supplement their food boxes.
This collaboration is essential in reaching even more members of our community and can provide accessible access to affordable or free food in Ishpeming.
