Ishpeming High School LIFT UP Class Plants First Ever Crop on PCF Intergenerational Farm Site

On Friday, May 31st, Ishpeming High School seniors, with the LIFT UP program, helped plant the first-ever crop on the Partridge Creek Intergenerational Farm: potatoes! The LIFT UP program is a program that matches a High School class with a local farmer to help with a project of the class’s choosing. This group of Seniors has been working with Partridge Creek Farm Manager, Allison Stawara during the 2023-2024 school year.

Partridge Creek Farm is so proud and appreciative of these students hard work! We simply could not do this work without the help of our students and our community.

Not only did these students plant the first ever crop on the Intergenerational Farm Site it was also the seniors last day of high school! We were so happy to spend the seniors last day of high school at the farm planting potatoes.
