The School Greenhouse
The greenhouse was purchased by the Ishpeming Public School District (IPSD) as part of a 61S grant Funding from the State of Michigan through the Eaton RESA, Michigan Department of Education, for CTE (Career and Technical Education) classes and will be operated by the Applied Horticulture CTE class (called Flipping the Food System) as well as PCF. It will be used as a learning space and to steward healthy soil in order to grow food for the Ishpeming Middle/High School cafeteria.
Construction began on the Greenhouse in August of 2025 and is now fully constructed and ready for use as of April 2026. Construction was completed by PCF, the Ishpeming Lions Club, local volunteers, and IPSD students. PCF is grateful for volunteer and student participation in the building of this structure.
