PCF Hosts Eagle Mine At The Intergenerational Farm for Workshop

Learning About Mediterranean Herbs

To kick-off the summer Partridge Creek Farm hosted Eagle Mine Staff Members in the newly constructed PCF Intergenerational Farm Hoophouse for a Workshop on Mediterranean herb planters and food tasting featuring those herbs.

Mary Andronis, Director of Programs and Partnerships led this Workshop to help participants learn more about planting and using herbs in recipes!

Building the Herb Planters

Workshop attendees learned how to properly plant your Mediterranean herbs in an herb planter that attendees then took home with them! Some of the herbs planted included dill and cilantro.

Mary also explained the many uses of these herbs and how to best grow and plant them.

Taste Test!

At the end of the Workshop attendees had a chance to try their herbs in action! Mary thoughtfully made a traditional Greek dish, Spanakopita for attendees to try and get some new recipe ideas they can use their newly planted herbs in.
