POWER OF PRODUCE

Power of Produce Children's Program: brought to you by Partridge Creek Farm, this program runs Saturdays, July 2-August 20 at the Downtown Marquette Farmers Market. Kids under the age of 12 can try new fruits and vegetables each week, then purchase produce from local farmers with a $5 voucher.

July 13 | My Market Bag Print your own tote bag for the market

July 20 | Scavenger Hunt Grab a map, and follow the clues to find the hidden treasure

July 27 | Interview the Farmers Ask our farmers what their favorite veggie is

August 3 | My Plate Meal Fill your plate with food from around the market

August 10 | Smoothie Tasting Smoothies!

August 17 | Veggie Art Use veggies as stamps to make art

August 24 | Guess that Veggie! Can you guess the veggie in the box with just 3 senses? Touch, smell, and listening.

How to Participate

There is no sign-up necessary, children between the ages of 2-12 are welcome to stop by the POP tent to participate in the weekly activity. POP participants receive a $5 voucher each week of participation to spend on the foods of their choice at the market. These vouchers also serve to empower kids, by giving them the purchasing power to buy from farmers and local vendors at the market.
