Success:UP Power Company Generously Donates a Farm Truck to PCF

We are so thrilled to announce that we have received a Farm Truck from UPPCO!

Thank you to the UP Power Company for the generous donation of a Farm Truck to Partridge Creek Farm. Over the winter PCF staff began asking our community for help in finding an affordable farm truck to help increase our growing efforts in Ishpeming this year. Our community answered by helping share our message as well as donating to the truck fund. Eventually UPPCO stepped in to help a community organization and now PCF are the proud owners of a farm truck!

We want to thank our community for their support in this endeavor your support has not gone unnoticed. Your donations kindly allowed us to make a few minor repairs to the truck to ensure PCF staff are safe while driving around Ishpeming.

How This Truck Will Benefit PCF and Ishpeming

2024 is the first growing season on the 3.75 acre Partridge Creek Intergenerational Farm located in downtown Ishpeming. Partridge Creek Farm (PCF) aims to cultivate 9,000 lbs of produce in 2024 for distribution to the Ishpeming Community and the Ishpeming School District and Negaunee School District cafeterias. To achieve this goal, PCF will rely on the farm truck to transport farm materials and produce.

Thank You to Our Community

Thank you to our community members who donated and/or shared our ask for a Farm Truck! We appreciate you greatly. With your help we raised $300 that will not be wasted. This money will help us with general maintenance registration for the truck, and help remove the lift gate, and repair the bumper, all to ensure that our growing team is safe while driving around town.

Thank you for your help and support!
