Sara Johnson Discusses Food Insecurity On The Food First Michigan Podcast

In early November Sara Johnson, Partridge Creek Farm’s Executive Director was invited on the Food First Michigan Podcast hosted by Dr. Phil Knight and Gerry Brisson.

This podcast covers a wide variety of topics from Sara’s background working with food and agriculture and delves into Partridge Creek Farm’s mission and work within the Ishpeming Community.

Food Insecurity In Our Community

18.3% of the population in Ishpeming faces poverty and food insecurity, with limited access to affordable, nutritious food. Partridge Creek Farm’s mission is to provide local access to fresh produce while offering educational opportunities.

Through the Food First Michigan Podcast, our Executive Director, Sara Johnson, was given the opportunity to speak about food insecurity in our community and share Partridge Creek Farm’s commitment to supporting and uplifting those in need.

This connection came about through an article put out by Enbridge about Partridge Creek Farm. Food First Michigan then read that great article and reached out to Partridge Creek Farm to learn more.
