PCF & Volunteers Help Upgrade the Ishpeming Middle School Garden

Partridge Creek Farm Ishpeming Middle School Garden 2026 Volunteer Day

Photo shows construction of the new Community Grazing Beds at the Ishpeming Middle School Garden.

During a recent volunteer day, Partridge Creek Farm team members and community volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help in the Ishpeming Middle School Garden. The garden is now eight years old and needed some upgrades to stay a safe, hands-on classroom for Farm-to-School 5th and 6th graders.

Thanks to the generosity of our community on Giving Tuesday, $8,645 was raised to support food access in Ishpeming. These funds supported the purchase of 8 new ADA accessible, FREE Community Grazing Beds and do some needed garden maintenance to the site.

PCF wants to thank our volunteers, donors, community members, and supporters. We simply couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for helping keep the garden growing and the learning alive!
