The Community Garden Volunteer Day Was A Success!

On Saturday May 17th, 25 volunteers joined us in the Partridge Creek Community Garden to help revamp the site ahead of the growing season.

Volunteers helped with a wide variety of projects from; preparing garden beds for painting, building new garden beds, building a tiny library, and more! We are so grateful for the hard work our community put in during this volunteer day- we can’t wait to show our 24 garden members the progress this season!

Volunteer Projects

Volunteers helped with:

  • Building new garden beds

  • Preparing existing garden beds to paint

  • Removing old wood from the site/ breaking down beds and growing spaces that were no longer use

  • Built a Tiny Library

  • Preparing the orchard space for planting

  • Re-configuring the compost area with the expertise of Keats Dormont PCF’s Education Coordinator

From 9am-5pm volunteers worked diligently to help our staff get a jump start on each one of these projects and we are so grateful for their help!

Volunteers work hard in the Partridge Creek Community Garden during the volunteer day.
