Two Generous Donations Help Bridge Our 2026 Snap Funding Gap

PCF extends a heartfelt thank you to Cattron’s Lumber and Building Supplies and McELROY Metal for their generous donations! Due to their support, 14 community members who use SNAP/EBT can enjoy our 2026 17-week CSA subscription, usually valued at $20 per week, for just $5.15 per week. This incredible initiative ensures that 14 families and community members will have reliable, affordable access to fresh, nutritious food every week throughout the season, from June 24-October 14. Partridge Creek Farm is immensely grateful for their commitment to enhancing our community's access to produce and for helping to nourish members of our community. Thank you to these two businesses and the Michigan Fitness Foundation for making such a meaningful difference in our community!

2026 Snap Funding Gap

Funding Cuts Impact Snap/EBT Users

With recent funding cuts to SNAP programming, we faced the hard choice of potentially having to end our discounted SNAP/EBT memberships for 2026. This difficult decision would have reduced access to fresh, affordable produce for many households in our community. To bridge this gap PCF would have needed to raise $3000 to continue offering 17 weeks of discounted CSA boxes to our SNAP/EBT Members.

The support of Cattron’s Lumber and Building Supplies and McElroy Metal ensures equitable access to healthy food at Partridge Creek Farm.

Why this matters

  • In 2025, ~ 50% of our CSA members used SNAP/EBT to pay for their subscriptions. Those households rely on our program for consistent access to healthy, local produce during the growing season.

  • Losing the discounted option would not only limit food access but weaken the connections between local growers and families who benefit most from affordable, nutritious food.
